About the Role:

As the Head of Procurement Risk Assurance, you will report to the Head of Service, Portfolio Management & Risk Assurance. This pivotal role is responsible for safeguarding Sanofi’s assets and reputation by implementing robust controls and efficient processes across key Procurement Services programs, including Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence, and Supplier Diversity. You will work closely with the Procurement Risk Management Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Lead the Procurement Services Risk Assurance organization, aligning with the Global Business Operations and Hub operating model.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy based on the defined Risk Framework, in line with organizational goals.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation:

    • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks within Procurement Services and Business Operations, utilizing internal and external resources.
    • Enhance control mechanisms in collaboration with internal control teams, addressing both front office and Procurement Services middle/back office.
  • Process Improvement and Documentation:

    • Partner with the Head of Procurement Risk Management and Supplier Diversity to develop and implement frameworks and models for TPRM, Sustainability, and Supplier Diversity compliance.
    • Optimize risk identification and mitigation plans for vendors and establish relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Feedback Mechanism and Coordination:

    • Implement a feedback loop to gather and evaluate opportunities for improving risk management processes.
    • Manage responses to internal and external audits, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting:

    • Oversee key performance indicators related to risk management, showcasing innovation and excellence in collaboration with the Procurement Risk Management team.
    • Support reporting needs for risk assurance within Procurement Services, including monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports.

About You:

  • Experience:

    • 5-7 years of experience in risk management within a global organization, with a leadership role.
    • Proven experience in financial audits or supplier audits, assessments, or evaluations.
  • Skills:

    • Knowledge of pharmacovigilance, drug safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.
    • Understanding of global regulations on child labor, anti-bribery, ethics, and human rights.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Effective collaborator with strong negotiation, influencing, and trust-building abilities.
    • Analytical and strategic thinker with a proven ability to innovate and solve problems.
    • Business acumen and intellectual curiosity, with the ability to challenge conventional methods and generate new ideas.
    • Ability to work in a matrixed, international environment and interact with senior stakeholders.
  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
  • Languages:

    • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Travel:

    • Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time, including international travel.
