Department Overview: Medical Affairs SOE (DK), GMA-GBS

Global Medical Affairs (GMA) at GBS, Bangalore, is an integral part of Novo Nordisk's Global Medical Affairs unit headquartered in Denmark. The department comprises a dedicated team of global scientific advisors, project managers, medical advisors, publication managers, and graphic designers. Together, they deliver impactful medical communication, content development, and publication planning to support internal stakeholders and the external scientific community.


Position: Global Scientific Advisor

Location: Bangalore, India
Department: Medical Affairs SOE (DK), GMA-GBS

As a Global Scientific Advisor, you will develop high-quality medical communication materials and collaborate across functions to support global medical education, key opinion leader (KOL) engagement, and clinical activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Medical Communication:

    • Deliver high-impact, engaging, accurate, and credible medical communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Facilitate seamless collaboration between medical affairs teams, project managers, and medical illustrators.
  • Support Clinical Activities:

    • Provide both back-end and on-site support for clinical activities managed by Global Medical Affairs.
  • Engage with KOLs:

    • Actively participate in scientific dialogues with global KOLs and strengthen professional relationships.
  • Drive Medical Education:

    • Partner with medical affairs teams to develop and execute a global medical communication plan.
    • Ensure effective HCP engagement through data presentations, participation in symposia, and onsite presence at events.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria:

  • Education:

    • Ph.D./PharmD with clinical and/or research expertise in Endocrinology, Cardiovascular Diseases, or Internal Medicine.
  • Experience:

    • At least 2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
    • Proven research experience with peer-reviewed publications.
  • Skills:

    • Strong communication skills and experience in stakeholder engagement.
    • Expertise in MS PowerPoint.
    • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
