The Global Regulatory Strategy, Partner Market, & Science Center of Excellence (CoE) team is a diverse and inclusive group committed to delivering operational excellence across various business functions, including Regulatory, Medical, Pharmacovigilance, CMC, Labelling, and Clinical Operations. Based in multiple locations, with the primary hub in India, the CoE is designed to centralize critical functions and support the global Science strategy, creating exceptional value across the business.

Main Responsibilities

As a key member of the Science Center of Excellence (CoE), you will drive continuous improvement, innovation, and operational effectiveness across Regulatory, Medical, and Pharmacovigilance activities globally. Your responsibilities will include:

Process Excellence and Continuous Improvement

  • Standardize Best Practices: Establish and promote standardized processes within the CoE to ensure consistency and alignment across regions and business functions.
  • Process Optimization: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process optimization opportunities.
  • Monitor Performance: Track KPIs and other performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of process improvement efforts and report on progress.
  • Emerging Trends & Technologies: Explore and incorporate new trends, technologies, and best practices in process management and excellence, driving innovation and enhancing operational effectiveness.

Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Guidance on Change: Provide leadership and support during the adoption of new processes and ways of working, ensuring smooth transitions and high engagement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration across functions and regions, addressing challenges and seizing opportunities for process improvement.
  • Customer-Centric Action: Engage with global and local managers to incorporate customer feedback into process enhancement efforts, improving the overall customer experience and satisfaction.

Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Knowledge Sharing & Training: Develop training programs and workshops to promote process excellence and knowledge sharing within the CoE.
  • Coaching & Mentoring: Build process management capabilities by mentoring and coaching team members to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Digital Transformation & Technology Utilization

  • Leverage Technology: Oversee the digital landscape for Science, enabling process automation, digitization, and optimization within the CoE.
  • User Access Management: Ensure the proper management of user access and system governance for science-related tools and digital resources.

Governance & Process Oversight

  • Governance Structures: Establish governance frameworks and oversee process improvement initiatives, ensuring they align with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
  • Benchmarking & Best Practices: Conduct benchmarking exercises within the CoE, sharing insights and best practices with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance the global regulatory landscape.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a combination of scientific expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for process excellence:

Experience

  • 10+ years of scientific experience in the Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, or Consumer Healthcare industries, with a deep understanding of regulatory, medical, and pharmacovigilance functions.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, including team management in a matrix organization, driving cross-functional collaboration and process optimization.
  • A proven ability to challenge existing processes and champion impactful, strategic changes in a global context.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of Regulatory, Medical, and Pharmacovigilance processes and how they intersect to support product development and market access.
  • Proven track record in Change Management and driving continuous improvement initiatives within complex organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with global teams, fostering collaboration and delivering results.
  • A forward-thinking mindset, able to embrace new technologies and trends to improve processes.

Education

  • MS degree required, with advanced qualifications such as Pharm D, MD, PhD, or equivalent highly preferred.

Languages

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is essential.
