Role Summary

The Global API Supply Manager is responsible for end-to-end supply chain management of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), intermediates, bulk products, and selected finished goods. The role oversees demand planning, inventory management, supplier coordination, logistics, lifecycle management, and digital transformation initiatives to ensure uninterrupted global supply and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Demand & Supply Planning

  • Monitor and manage global demand forecasts.

  • Manage supply planning through SAP APO DP/SNP.

  • Maintain inventory targets and optimize stock levels.

  • Create and manage customer sales orders and purchase orders.

End-to-End Supply Chain Management

  • Own the complete supply chain process from supplier to customer.

  • Coordinate supply activities across global markets.

  • Ensure uninterrupted product availability.

  • Resolve supply disruptions and bottlenecks.

Inventory Management

  • Manage strategic inventory valued up to multi-million-dollar levels.

  • Monitor stock availability and replenishment.

  • Reduce excess inventory and write-offs.

  • Improve inventory performance and working capital.

Supplier & Contract Management

  • Manage strategic supplier relationships.

  • Monitor supplier performance and service levels.

  • Support supply agreement negotiations.

  • Mitigate supply and contractual risks.

Logistics & Distribution

  • Oversee transportation planning.

  • Coordinate freight management activities.

  • Manage warehouse stock reconciliation.

  • Ensure timely customer deliveries.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Support new product launches.

  • Coordinate product changes and discontinuations.

  • Manage customer and product master data.

  • Participate in lifecycle and change management projects.

Digital Transformation

  • Drive automation and digitalization initiatives.

  • Support AI-enabled supply chain improvements.

  • Improve reporting and decision-making through analytics.
