Clinical Eye Care Nurse Educator – San Jose, CA

Job Summary

Syneos Health is hiring a Clinical Eye Care Nurse Educator to serve as an educational leader supporting eye care professionals (ECPs) in Northern California. Focused on oncology and relapsed refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM), this role empowers ECPs with essential clinical knowledge to support life-saving treatments. If you have a background in nursing, oncology, or ophthalmology, this is your chance to impact cancer care through education and patient advocacy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Educate Eye Care Professionals on the critical importance of required eye exams for RRMM patients.

  • Deliver high-quality training on proper examination protocols and result communication with oncology teams.

  • Collaborate with Oncology Account Managers and Medical Affairs to ensure aligned messaging and REMS compliance.

  • Provide clear and compassionate education to help ECPs support patient care coordination.

  • Develop and present product-specific and patient-centric training materials to clinical professionals.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a healthcare-related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in optometry, ophthalmology, nursing, or medical education, preferably oncology-focused.

  • Alternatively, 1–3 years of direct oncology clinical experience with strong patient and physician interaction.

  • Strong ability to explain complex medical concepts to both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

  • Proven track record of effective training delivery and cross-functional teamwork.


Desired Skills

  • Certified Registered Nurse (CRN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) with experience in eye care preferred.

  • Familiarity with specialty pharmacy or payer processes is a plus.
