Clinical Eye Care Nurse Educator – Concord, CA

Job Summary

Syneos Health is hiring a Clinical Eye Care Nurse Educator in Concord, California. This field-based role is crucial in educating Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) on the importance of ophthalmic exams for patients with relapsed refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM). You will collaborate with cross-functional oncology teams to enhance clinical understanding and communication of exam outcomes, ensuring improved patient care. Ideal for experienced oncology nurses, optometrists, or educators with a passion for clinical training in the biopharma sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Educate ECPs on the significance of regular eye exams for RRMM patients.

  • Provide clear training materials and guidance to support patient counseling and result interpretation.

  • Collaborate with Oncology Account Managers and Medical Affairs to deliver product and REMS-related education per FDA regulations.

  • Support care coordination and integration of ophthalmic care into oncology treatment plans.

  • Empower healthcare providers with tools to deliver accurate and compassionate patient communication.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Nursing, Optometry, Ophthalmology, or related healthcare field.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in ophthalmology, optometry, or nursing with oncology or medical education focus.

  • Alternatively, 1–3 years of direct clinical oncology experience involving education or patient care.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to present complex oncology-related information in a clear and engaging way.

  • Proven experience in cross-functional team environments.

  • Proficiency in developing and presenting clinical training materials.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with specialty pharmacy or payers.

  • Certification or clinical background as a CRN, NP, or PA with a focus on eye care is highly desirable.
