Medical Coding Specialist – OP | Hyderabad, India | Full-Time

Role: Medical Coding Specialist
We are hiring an experienced Medical Coder / Senior Coder with active certifications (CPC, CPC-A, CIC, CCS, or COC) and strong expertise in CPT and ICD-10 diagnosis coding. The role requires validation of coding for medical records, ensuring accuracy, correct sequencing, and compliance with regulatory and insurance standards.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to both patient care quality and revenue cycle optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign precise ICD-10 and CPT codes for diagnoses and procedures.

  • Review and validate patient charts and medical records for coding accuracy.

  • Communicate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to clarify documentation.

  • Research complex or unusual cases to ensure correct code assignment.

  • Monitor and update codes to maintain compliance with current regulations.

  • Evaluate previous day’s coding batches to ensure quality and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Education: Any graduate degree.

  • Experience: 3–7 years in medical coding.

  • Certifications: Completion of coding certification program from AHIMA or AAPC.

  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

  • Proficient in assigning ICD-10 and CPT codes accurately.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Flexible to work from office or home based on business needs.
