Role: Medical Coding Specialist
We are hiring an experienced Medical Coder / Senior Coder with active certifications (CPC, CPC-A, CIC, CCS, or COC) and strong expertise in CPT and ICD-10 diagnosis coding. The role requires validation of coding for medical records, ensuring accuracy, correct sequencing, and compliance with regulatory and insurance standards.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to both patient care quality and revenue cycle optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Assign precise ICD-10 and CPT codes for diagnoses and procedures.
Review and validate patient charts and medical records for coding accuracy.
Communicate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to clarify documentation.
Research complex or unusual cases to ensure correct code assignment.
Monitor and update codes to maintain compliance with current regulations.
Evaluate previous day’s coding batches to ensure quality and accuracy.
Requirements:
Education: Any graduate degree.
Experience: 3–7 years in medical coding.
Certifications: Completion of coding certification program from AHIMA or AAPC.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Proficient in assigning ICD-10 and CPT codes accurately.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Flexible to work from office or home based on business needs.
