Job Description:
The Expert Writer, Medical Content Development at EVERSANA plays a pivotal role in delivering scientifically accurate, compliant, and strategic content for clients in biopharma, medical device, and digital therapeutics sectors. This role supports integrated commercialization deals and standalone medical content engagements, focusing on various therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Neurology, Immunology, and more. The writer also collaborates closely with cross-functional teams in Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop high-quality, scientifically rigorous materials such as Scientific Response Documents, FAQs, slide decks, abstracts, posters, and training resources.
Lead content development processes from source material review to final approval through MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) processes.
Utilize platforms like Veeva Vault MedComms and PromoMats for document management, annotation, and referencing.
Contribute to strategic discussions and client communications in collaboration with the Medical Content Development Manager.
Mentor junior writers and support hiring/onboarding as needed.
Participate in client meetings and contribute to EVERSANA’s thought leadership content (e.g., blogs, presentations).
Assist in creating/updating SOPs, templates, checklists, and style guides.
Ensure adherence to industry standards and compliance protocols.
Qualifications:
Preferred Background:
Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, MSc) in life sciences or medical field.
Prior experience in developing content for Medical Affairs or Medical Information, especially for product launches.
Strong publication record (abstracts, posters, manuscripts) preferred.
Experience:
Experience across multiple therapeutic areas.
Familiarity with Veeva Vault MedComms and PromoMats is a strong asset.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to synthesize complex scientific data into clear and impactful content.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Working Environment & Expectations:
Average 40+ hours/week.
Travel: Up to 10% (post-COVID).
Office-based or hybrid role with moderately quiet work environment.
May involve occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
Required to work collaboratively and independently with high attention to quality and compliance.
