Position Overview:

Jubilant Pharmova Limited is seeking an Executive - Environment to join the Environmental Health & Safety team in Nanjangud, Mysore. This role involves working with environmental compliance, managing documentation for environmental audits, and ensuring that all environmental processes are adhered to with respect to statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sewage and Effluent Treatment: Understand the functioning of Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of various environmental acts, including the Air Act, Water Act, and Hazardous Waste (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules.
  • ISO 14001 Certification: Assist in the documentation and maintenance of environmental management systems to meet ISO 14001 audit requirements.
  • Sample Analysis: Perform routine wastewater sample analysis to monitor environmental parameters and maintain quality standards.
  • Statutory Returns Preparation: Prepare and submit statutory returns for hazardous waste, biomedical waste, E-waste, battery returns, and environmental audit statements.
  • E-Manifest Generation: Generate and manage e-manifests for hazardous waste consignments, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • KSPCB Compliance: Manage the XGN website (Karnataka State Pollution Control Board) for reporting and compliance purposes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports related to environmental management activities.
  • MS Office Skills: Utilize MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for report generation, documentation, and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
    • BE / MTech in Environmental Engineering
    • MSc in Environmental Science or Environmental Chemistry

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in environmental management, compliance, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards, environmental audits, and waste management procedures.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of sewage and effluent treatment plant operations.
  • Understanding of environmental regulations and compliance.
  • Strong documentation skills for ISO 14001 audits and regulatory returns.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and presentation.
  • Ability to manage statutory returns and e-manifests for hazardous materials.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
