Job Description:
The Hematology/Oncology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) functions as a field-based scientific expert in Cutaneous T Cell Lymphoma (CTCL) and Lymphir, a recombinant cytotoxic fusion protein composed of diphtheria toxin fragments and human interleukin-2. The MSL will engage healthcare professionals and leaders in clinical, scientific, value-based care, and research-focused conversations. They will collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare practitioners, ensuring that scientific and clinical knowledge is shared in alignment with regulatory and corporate guidelines.

As part of the CITIUS Oncology team, the MSL will work closely with HEME/ONC/DERM professional societies, patient advocacy organizations, and key institutions involved in CTCL management and treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary field-based contact for Medical Deployment in Hematology/Oncology.
  • Maintain deep clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in oncology, with a focus on CTCL.
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with KOLs and healthcare providers in the assigned region.
  • Facilitate medical and scientific exchanges, including advisory boards and KOL meetings.
  • Manage territory development, KOL engagement, and clinical program requests.
  • Work closely with the R&D team to support clinical trial sites and investigators.
  • Conduct KOL profiling to deepen understanding of patient care pathways and treatment protocols.
  • Provide scientific training and insights to internal teams and collaborate with commercial teams to ensure product and strategic imperatives are represented.
  • Attend and represent the company at medical conferences, congresses, and other scientific events.
  • Comply with all corporate SOPs, legal, and regulatory guidelines in interactions with healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate effectively with the MSL team to ensure successful execution of organizational goals.
  • Respond to unsolicited requests for clinical and scientific information.

Qualifications:

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • An advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, MSN, NP/PA) is strongly preferred.
  • MSL: A minimum of 2 years of MSL experience, with at least 1 year in Oncology.
  • Sr. MSL: At least 5 years of experience in pharma and 3 years in Oncology. Hematology/Oncology experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience in product launches is required.
  • Strong scientific, clinical, and business acumen with excellent communication and networking abilities.
  • Ability to interpret and present complex scientific data to KOLs and healthcare professionals.
  • Familiarity with NCCN guidelines and payer systems is a plus.
  • Ability to present to formulary and P&T committees.
  • Sound knowledge of institutions and clinics specializing in Oncology treatments is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, including overnight stays.
