Role Overview

The Clinical Specialist / Stroke Rater supports stroke-related clinical trials by administering standardized clinical assessments and ensuring high-quality data accuracy and consistency. The role involves evaluating patients using validated stroke assessment scales, reviewing ratings conducted by other professionals, and maintaining protocol compliance and inter-rater reliability in clinical research environments.

This position is ideal for healthcare professionals with clinical research experience and expertise in stroke patient assessment, seeking flexible, remote opportunities in the pharmaceutical and clinical trials sector.

Key Responsibilities

Administer stroke-specific clinical assessment scales, including EQ-5D-5L (interviewer and proxy versions) and Modified Rankin Scale (mRS), to clinical trial participants.

Review and evaluate assessments conducted by other raters to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to clinical trial protocols.

Conduct live sessions with raters to provide guidance on scoring methodologies, assessment techniques, and protocol standards.

Participate in training programs, certification processes, and calibration sessions to maintain consistency in clinical trial data reporting.

Review case documentation and clinical data to prepare for rater discussions and evaluations.

Complete scheduled interactions and ensure timely submission of required documentation.

Support mock interviews and functional performance assessments of clinical raters as required.

Educational Qualifications

Minimum: Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Medicine, Neurology, Psychology, or a related healthcare discipline.

Preferred: MD, DO, or PhD in a relevant field.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1 year of clinical experience working with stroke patients.

Prior experience administering stroke-related rating scales within clinical trials or healthcare settings.

Experience in clinical research, patient assessment, or neurological evaluation is preferred.

Required Skills and Competencies

Proficiency in administering EQ-5D-5L and Modified Rankin Scale (mRS).

Strong understanding of stroke assessment methodologies and clinical trial protocols.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for professional collaboration with clinical teams and raters.

Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and time management capabilities.

Fluency in Bengali (spoken and written) is mandatory.
