Role Overview
The Clinical Specialist / Stroke Rater supports stroke-focused clinical trials by administering standardized neurological assessments and ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency. The role involves evaluating patient outcomes using validated stroke rating scales, reviewing assessments conducted by other raters, and maintaining protocol compliance and inter-rater reliability.

This position is ideal for clinical professionals with expertise in stroke care, clinical assessments, and clinical trial support who are fluent in Bengali and interested in flexible, remote research roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer validated stroke assessment scales to clinical trial participants, including EQ-5D-5L (interviewer and proxy versions) and Modified Rankin Scale (mRS).

  • Review and evaluate stroke assessments conducted by other raters to ensure accuracy and protocol compliance.

  • Conduct live interactions with raters to provide feedback on scoring methodologies and clinical evaluation techniques.

  • Participate in training sessions, orientation programs, and calibration activities to maintain certification and assessment consistency.

  • Review case data and relevant documentation to prepare for rater discussions and evaluations.

  • Complete scheduled rater interactions and submit required documentation within defined timelines.

  • Support mock interviews and functional performance assessments of raters when required.

  • Ensure adherence to clinical trial protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Medicine, Neurology, Psychology, or a related field.

  • MD, DO, or PhD preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience working with stroke patients.

  • Prior experience administering stroke-related rating scales in clinical trial settings.

  • Experience in neurological assessments and clinical research environments preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in administering EQ-5D-5L and Modified Rankin Scale (mRS).

  • Fluency in Bengali (mandatory requirement).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for professional interaction with clinical teams and trial staff.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote clinical research environment.
