The Coding Specialist I is responsible for the medical coding aspects of assigned clinical projects. This role involves working with the management team to achieve competency standards, assisting in data coding for project(s) during all stages, and ensuring high-quality coded clinical data.
✔ Clinical Data Coding: Perform coding of clinical medical data with supervision, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
✔ Collaborative Work: Work closely with the Coding team and Lead Data Reviewer to manage coding aspects throughout the project.
✔ Data Management: Assist in project-specific data management tasks, including the implementation of solutions for coding-related issues.
✔ Review: Support the review of the Data Management Plan, dictionary specifications, and coding conventions.
✔ Project Support: Assist with the setup, maintenance, and closure of data management for projects to maintain high-quality coded clinical data.
✔ Client Satisfaction: Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of quality medical-coded data on assigned projects.
✔ Competency Development: Participate in internal and external training to maintain coding competencies.
✔ Efficiency Improvement: Proactively suggest solutions to improve project efficiency and processes.
