Job Title: Clinical Research Physician
Location: Salt Lake City, UT - Office-Based

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Clinical Research Physician to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. In this vital role, you will conduct clinical evaluations for healthy volunteers and patients involved in specific research studies. Your expertise will help ensure adherence to protocols, regulatory standards, and subject safety, ultimately making a significant contribution to cutting-edge research and early-phase clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough clinical evaluations, including medical histories and physical exams of study subjects.
  • Review and assess lab results, eligibility criteria, and safety parameters in accordance with study protocols.
  • Provide oversight for study conduct, ensuring strict protocol adherence and subject safety.
  • Prescribe study drugs and ensure correct dosages and administration procedures.
  • Assist in venous access procedures, sample collection, and performing safety assessments.
  • Monitor subjects for adverse events, initiating appropriate actions per clinical judgment.
  • Complete case report forms and present safety issues at clinical meetings.
  • Maintain effective communication with nursing staff, sponsors, and stakeholders throughout the study.
  • Participate in protocol development, ethics committee meetings, and study reporting.
  • Stay updated on medical and pharmaceutical industry trends and best practices.
  • Contribute to professional development and training initiatives within the team.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) with active licensure; preference for internal or family medicine but other specialties will be considered.
  • Board certification or eligibility in relevant medical specialty.
  • Current Utah state medical licensure or the ability to obtain Utah state licensure.
  • Experience in clinical research, ideally within a pharmaceutical or CRO environment, is preferred.
  • Understanding or willingness to learn ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to work daily from our Salt Lake City Clinic.
