Job Title: Research Nurse – Early Phase Clinical Trials
Location: Madison, WI
Time Type: Full-Time (Fri-Sun, 3 x 12-hour shifts)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Research Nurse to join our team in Madison, WI, working directly with healthy volunteer participants in early-phase clinical trials. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical nursing skills with exposure to cutting-edge medical technologies and treatments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize nursing assessment skills to monitor participant well-being and identify potential adverse events.
  • Document and respond appropriately to adverse events.
  • Obtain informed consent and educate participants about study procedures.
  • Administer investigational compounds (including parenteral) in compliance with study protocols and regulations.
  • Perform study-related activities such as:
    • Cannulation
    • Telemetry
    • Holters
    • Vital signs monitoring
    • ECGs
    • Venipuncture
  • Respond to emergency situations based on nursing standards.
  • Maintain strict adherence to study protocols and timelines.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree/BS in Nursing with current state licensure.
  • CPR/AED certification (required).
  • ACLS certification (required).
  • 2-3 years of nursing experience; research nursing experience is ideal but not required.
  • Open to recent graduates or those with recent nursing experience.
