Position Overview:

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Clinical Project Manager II to join its R&D Operations team. This is a fully remote role open to candidates across the United States. The selected individual will oversee the clinical study and evaluation processes, ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams and adherence to project timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage clinical study and evaluation timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.

  • Facilitate alignment on project strategies across internal and cross-functional teams.

  • Ensure implementation of best practices across the clinical project lifecycle.

  • Lead internal and cross-functional meetings, including scheduling, organization, and follow-ups.

  • Present key project metrics, risks, dashboards, and updates during reviews.

  • Manage scope, resources, schedule, stakeholders, communication, budgets, and risks.

  • Foster collaboration through technical understanding and influence, not just authority.

  • Manage multiple competing deadlines while maintaining constructive relationships.

  • Deliver formal presentations and communications as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or business administration (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum 2+ years of project management experience.

  • Experience in medical device projects and cross-functional teams.

  • Understanding of the clinical trial lifecycle.

  • Proficient with tools: Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Smartsheet.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to work both independently and in a team, adapting to evolving priorities.


Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range:

  • General: $74,000 - $119,600

  • Bay Area: $86,000 - $138,000
