Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Director, the Staff Pharmacist will play a key role in ensuring the drug therapy needs of patients are met. This role involves five key areas of responsibility:
Clinical Pharmacy
Drug Distribution
Teaching
Administrative Duties
Research
The pharmacist will also be expected to comply with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing healthcare provisions.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure appropriate and safe drug therapy for patients, including unit dose and IV admixtures.
Maintain familiarity with clinical pharmacy practices and drug distribution systems.
Assist in teaching and training staff and students as necessary.
Perform administrative duties and help in research activities.
Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations to ensure proper patient care.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Experience: Prior experience in clinical pharmacy practice, including unit dose and IV admixtures, preferred.
Skills:
Strong computer and technical pharmacy skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-directed and able to manage tasks independently.
