Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Director, the Staff Pharmacist will play a key role in ensuring the drug therapy needs of patients are met. This role involves five key areas of responsibility:

  • Clinical Pharmacy

  • Drug Distribution

  • Teaching

  • Administrative Duties

  • Research

The pharmacist will also be expected to comply with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing healthcare provisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure appropriate and safe drug therapy for patients, including unit dose and IV admixtures.

  • Maintain familiarity with clinical pharmacy practices and drug distribution systems.

  • Assist in teaching and training staff and students as necessary.

  • Perform administrative duties and help in research activities.

  • Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations to ensure proper patient care.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.

  • Experience: Prior experience in clinical pharmacy practice, including unit dose and IV admixtures, preferred.

  • Skills:

    • Strong computer and technical pharmacy skills.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Self-directed and able to manage tasks independently.
