Role Overview

The Clinical Data Services Associate will be part of Accenture’s Life Sciences R&D – Clinical Data Management team, supporting global clinical trials by ensuring accurate, high-quality, and compliant clinical data. This role is ideal for early-career professionals seeking hands-on exposure to clinical data management systems, EDC platforms, and database validation activities in a structured, global delivery environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support clinical data management activities, including discrepancy review, query generation, and query resolution.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of CRF Completion Guidelines (CCGs) and SAE reconciliation guidelines.

  • Perform edit check testing and validation, including creation of test cases and execution of UAT against CRF/eCRF specifications.

  • Identify, document, and escalate protocol deviations within clinical databases.

  • Contribute to database validation activities to ensure compliance with study requirements and regulatory standards.

  • Develop and review basic to intermediate edit checks, listings, and clinical reports.

  • Support data preprocessing, dataset mapping, and validation activities using tools such as Cognos, SAS, J-Review, or similar platforms.

  • Collaborate closely with internal team members and supervisors to deliver assigned tasks within defined timelines.

  • Work as an individual contributor within a team-based environment, following established processes and guidelines.

  • Adapt to rotational shifts, if required, based on project needs.


Required Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE) or a related technical/life sciences discipline.

  • Experience:

    • 0–2 years of experience (up to 3 years acceptable) in Clinical Data Management, Clinical Data Services, or Clinical Database Programming.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Basic understanding of Clinical Data Management processes.

    • Exposure to Clinical EDC design, build, and data review activities.

    • Familiarity with clinical reports management and database validation concepts.
