Job Overview:
Support the Clinical Data Management (CDM) team by providing both basic and some comprehensive data management expertise. Assist in delivering efficient and quality data management products, while potentially assuming leadership tasks under supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational & Leadership Support:
Act as Data Operations Coordinator (DOC) for:
A single protocol with <5 operations staff (excluding DE), or
15+ moderately complex central lab studies
Take on leadership roles in data management tasks (e.g., coding, testing, or database design) with guidance
May serve as a backup DOC or Data Team Lead (DTL)
Data Review & Quality:
Perform data review and clarification resolution
Contribute to database audit team activities
Develop and test databases and edit specifications
Conduct programming tests and clinical data coding
Compliance & Collaboration:
Follow core operating procedures and working instructions
Maintain effective communication and working relationships within the CDM team
Meet assigned objectives independently with attention to detail
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in clinical, biological, mathematical sciences, or a related field (Required)
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Skills & Experience:
Exposure to medical terminology
Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and computer skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and solve problems proactively
Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships
