About the Role:

ICON plc is a global leader in healthcare intelligence and clinical research. As the Manager, Clinical Data Science, you will be responsible for ensuring Data Management deliverables are consistently met with high quality and within deadlines. This role involves providing leadership and mentorship to your team, tracking performance, and ensuring effective resource management. You will also develop strong client relationships through effective communication and project management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent delivery of Data Management deliverables with quality standards.

  • Align department, program, and study-level goals with quality expectations.

  • Track and report staff workload to optimize resource management.

  • Provide technical and managerial leadership, including mentorship and training.

  • Present team performance in sponsor meetings and identify areas for improvement.

  • Delegate responsibilities and continuously develop team capabilities.

  • Conduct performance reviews for direct reports and create development plans.

  • Represent the team during internal, external, and sponsor audits and manage findings.

  • Accurately record billable and non-billable time, and approve time sheets for direct reports.

  • Monitor study team productivity and performance.

  • Build and maintain client relationships through effective communication and project management.

  • Generate key metrics, share insights with leadership, and drive discussions on program performance.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in Data Management Programming.

  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in EDC Programming tools, preferably Rave, and knowledge of SAS/Visualization tools.

  • Leadership: Proven experience in people leadership, including recruitment, training, and mentoring.

  • Communication: Strong stakeholder communication and project management skills.
