Job Summary

The Clinical Data Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of clinical trial data. This role involves data review, issue resolution, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support efficient and high-quality clinical data management throughout the study lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data review, validation, and reconciliation in accordance with project timelines and data management plans.

  • Apply medical terminology knowledge to review and interpret clinical data accurately.

  • Identify, document, and resolve data discrepancies through effective query management.

  • Support database setup, testing, and updates, ensuring compliance with SOPs and data standards.

  • Maintain audit readiness by ensuring proper documentation and data traceability.

  • Collaborate with internal teams including Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, and Project Management.

  • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Data Management Practices (GCDMP) and project-specific guidelines.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing across data management teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Clinical, Biological, or Mathematical Sciences or a related field (required). Equivalent education, training, or experience may be considered.

Technical Knowledge

Exposure to medical terminology and familiarity with clinical research processes.

Skills

Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and computer skills.

Attention to Detail

Strong ability to ensure data accuracy and quality control.

Problem-Solving

Initiative and independence in identifying and resolving data issues.
