Department Overview: Medical Affairs SOE (DK), Global Medical Affairs - Bangalore

The Medical Affairs SOE team is part of Global Medical Affairs, based in Bangalore. We are dedicated to driving excellence in medical affairs through strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration. Position: Business Partner - Medical Affairs

Location: Bangalore
Department: Medical Affairs SOE (DK), Global Medical Affairs

As a Business Partner at Novo Nordisk, you will take a lead role in driving strategic projects, ensuring alignment across functions, and overseeing various medical affairs processes. Your responsibilities will include managing project budgets, supporting the development of Strategic Medical Product Plans, and facilitating key meetings and project activities in close collaboration with both local and global teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project & Budget Management:

    • Drive the core medical team processes including the management of project budgets and the development of Strategic Medical Product Plans.
    • Ensure the alignment of medical strategies with stakeholders across the portfolio to enable smooth project execution.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution:

    • Plan and drive meetings for the Core Medical Team (CMT) and Global Medical Affairs (GMA) Project Team.
    • Oversee and facilitate product transition activities between GMA-DK and GMA-BLR.
    • Execute strategic projects aligned with the Manager – Medical Excellence and the Head of GMA Business Partner Team.
  • Collaboration & Relationship Building:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with affiliates, Regional Offices, and internal/external stakeholders.
    • Share best practices across the organization and ensure project endorsements from relevant stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional Alignment & Process Improvement:

    • Identify key learnings and best practices to improve project outcomes.
    • Ensure cross-functional alignment to effectively drive projects from initiation to completion.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Master’s degree in life sciences, business, or a relevant field.
  • Experience:

    • 3-4 years of relevant experience in cross-functional project management, business development, or consulting within the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Experience in Medical Affairs or a strong understanding of its role is preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong passion for project management and stakeholder engagement.
    • Ability to bridge the gap between science and business in the pharmaceutical sector.
    • Organized, strategic, and process-oriented with the ability to drive effective project execution.
    • Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders and managing teams.
    • Budget management expertise to handle financial aspects of projects.
    • Ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously and work independently when needed.
