Biostatistician II – ICON, India | Clinical Research

Job Summary

ICON plc, a global leader in healthcare intelligence and clinical research, is hiring a Biostatistician II to contribute to clinical trials across various therapeutic areas. This role requires hands-on experience in statistical design and analysis for global studies, ensuring data quality and compliance with international standards like ICH-GCP and CDISC. Ideal for professionals with a background in statistics or biostatistics and prior clinical experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform statistical design and analysis using appropriate statistical software.

  • Participate actively in matrix team meetings when required.

  • Identify and interpret problems in processes/results, and escalate as necessary.

  • Conduct quality checks (QC) on own work to ensure accuracy.

  • Present concise summaries of tasks and findings to teams.

  • Prepare brief oral and written summaries of assigned work with clear interpretations.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Statistics or Biostatistics (mandatory).

  • Minimum 3 years of biostatistical experience in the clinical research industry.

  • Clinical trial experience is essential.

  • Strong knowledge of basic trial designs and classical inference methodologies.

  • Ability to address discrete problems under supervision.

  • Familiarity with CDISC standards (desired).

  • Proficiency in planning, supervising, implementing, and monitoring statistical processes for clinical trials.

  • Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and relevant clinical legislation.

  • Auto-immune and/or oncology study background is a plus.
