Job Summary

Supports lead or senior biostatisticians under supervision. Assists with statistical planning, data verification, and quality control. May serve as backup to the lead biostatistician and communicate with sponsors regarding biostatistics-related activities for assigned projects.


Key Responsibilities

Statistical Planning & Analysis:

  • Prepare or assist in preparation of Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs).

  • Develop well-presented mock-ups for tables, listings, and figures.

  • Review programming specifications for datasets, tables, listings, and figures.

  • Conduct verification and quality control of project deliverables.

  • Assist in randomization, sample size estimation, and other statistical responsibilities as needed.

Data Review & Compliance:

  • Review annotated Case Report Forms (CRFs), database design, and study documentation to ensure protocol adherence and data completeness.

  • Follow SOPs, Work Instructions (WIs), and relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH).

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation for inspection readiness.

Project & Time Management:

  • Manage scheduling and timelines across multiple projects.

  • Adapt daily workload to changing priorities set by Lead Biostatistician or management.

  • Prepare for internal meetings and contribute ideas.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Provide statistical programming support as needed.

  • Demonstrate respect for team opinions and collaborate effectively.

  • Perform other work-related duties and minimal travel (<25%) as required.


Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Graduate degree in Biostatistics or related discipline.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimal experience in clinical trials or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Programming experience, preferably in a clinical trials environment.

  • Knowledge of statistical design and analysis methodologies.

  • Ability to communicate statistical concepts clearly.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
