Role Overview:
Clarivate is hiring a Junior/Entry-Level Associate STEM Content Analyst – Chemistry to join its IP Content Editing team. The role focuses on analyzing patent documents and extracting chemical/biochemical data relevant to pharmaceutical, therapeutic, and agrochemical industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Index and code chemical compounds from patents.

  • Extract drug information, Markush structures, chemical reactions, and therapeutic activities.

  • Draw chemical structures using tools like ISIS Draw or similar software.

  • Apply IUPAC nomenclature, assess catalysts, additives, and chemical functions.

  • Ensure accuracy and quality in volume-based data extraction targets.

  • Stay current with developments in chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences.

  • Collaborate across teams and maintain flexibility for task priorities and process changes.

  • Work under managerial supervision and complete assigned responsibilities reliably.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Education: M.Sc in Chemistry/Biochemistry or B.Pharm/M.Pharm graduates.

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (Freshers welcome).

  • Familiarity with chemical drawing packages (e.g., ISIS Draw).

  • Sound understanding of pharmaceutical and chemical terminologies.

  • Strong written and spoken communication in English.

  • Problem-solving, analytical thinking, and adaptability in a team-oriented environment.

  • IUPAC nomenclature knowledge and structure handling tool experience are added advantages.
