Job Title: Associate Medical Coder

Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India

Role Overview:

As an Associate Medical Coder, you will be responsible for accurately assigning CPT and ICD-9 codes for physician and facility services in a behavioral health setting. You will ensure compliance with CMS guidelines, maintain coding accuracy, and stay updated with the latest coding standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical Coding & Compliance:

    • Assign CPT and ICD-9 codes for physician and facility services.
    • Ensure coding accuracy as per CMS guidelines.
    • Maintain a record of reviewed claims based on standard procedures.
    • Stay updated with coding changes recommended by CMS.
  • Performance & Productivity:

    • Meet required accuracy and productivity standards in coding.
    • Work independently and demonstrate strong critical thinking.
  • Policy Adherence & Work Flexibility:

    • Follow company policies, employment contract terms, and directives.
    • Be flexible with work shifts and team assignments as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate (10+2+3) in a relevant field.
  • Certified Coding Credential (CPC) with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding.
  • Understanding of various code sets and medical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Encoder systems (e.g., 3M, EPIC).
  • Basic knowledge of ICD-10 coding.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office.
