JOB OVERVIEW

The Associate Manager, Clinical – HST is responsible for providing clinical and technical support for Baxter's Healthcare Systems & Technologies (HST) medical device portfolio. The role focuses on product demonstrations, clinical training, application support, troubleshooting, customer engagement, and collaboration with sales and marketing teams to ensure successful product adoption, customer satisfaction, and business growth.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Application Support

  • Provide expert clinical support for HST medical devices.

  • Assist healthcare professionals during device implementation.

  • Support clinical procedures involving Baxter products.

  • Ensure safe and effective device utilization.

  • Deliver application support during high-priority procedures.

Product Demonstration

  • Conduct product demonstrations for healthcare professionals.

  • Present product features, benefits, and clinical applications.

  • Demonstrate device functionality to customers.

  • Support product evaluations and trials.

  • Participate in customer meetings and workshops.

Clinical Training

  • Deliver hands-on product training to surgeons, nurses, and technicians.

  • Educate clinical staff on proper device operation.

  • Conduct user competency training sessions.

  • Develop customer confidence in product usage.

  • Support onboarding for new customers.

Technical Support

  • Install and configure medical devices.

  • Troubleshoot clinical application issues.

  • Resolve technical and product-related problems.

  • Provide remote and on-site technical assistance.

  • Support post-installation activities.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with hospitals and healthcare professionals.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and technical questions.

  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Provide continuous product support.

  • Ensure positive customer experience throughout the product lifecycle.

Sales Support

  • Partner with sales teams during customer engagements.

  • Provide clinical expertise during the sales process.

  • Support product launches and promotional activities.

  • Assist in achieving business and sales objectives.

  • Participate in customer presentations and meetings.

Market Intelligence

  • Collect customer feedback.

  • Monitor competitor products and technologies.

  • Share customer insights with marketing teams.

  • Support product improvement initiatives.

  • Identify emerging customer needs.

Clinical Knowledge Management

  • Maintain expertise in Baxter's HST product portfolio.

  • Stay updated on surgical procedures and clinical practices.

  • Monitor new technologies and industry developments.

  • Maintain knowledge of competitor products.

Field Support

  • Travel to hospitals and healthcare facilities.

  • Support conferences, workshops, and trade exhibitions.

  • Provide on-site product assistance.

  • Manage field-based customer interactions.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and clinical standards.

  • Follow applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate documentation.

  • Adhere to quality and safety procedures.


EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in:

    • Biomedical Engineering

    • Surgical Technology

    • Life Sciences

    • Biomedical Sciences

    • Related Healthcare Discipline


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Required

  • 2–5 years of clinical experience or experience as a Medical Device Application Specialist.

  • Experience supporting medical devices in clinical settings.

  • Experience working with surgeons, nurses, and healthcare professionals.
