Role Overview

We are looking for an Associate Director, Study Start-Up to be based in Munich. This pivotal role will contribute to the strategic development and leadership of our Study Start-Up group in Europe. The successful candidate will oversee the management of a large team, drive continuous improvement in processes, and ensure that Study Start-Upand Regulatory Submission activities are executed per Medpace's standards and protocols.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development: Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the Study Start-Up team.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the team, fostering development and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvements in internal processes.
  • Regulatory Submissions: Oversee Regulatory Submission activities, ensuring compliance with Medpace SOPs and study protocols.
  • Business Development: Provide input on new business opportunities, and maintain client relationships.
  • Local Team Support: Support the development of the local German team.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field (Advanced degree preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in Study Start-Up leadership within a CRO or pharmaceutical company.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent presentationnegotiation, and leadership abilities.
    • Strong customer focus and the ability to manage priorities in high-pressure situations.
    • Team-oriented with the ability to adapt in dynamic environments.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in team management and development.
