🧾 Position Summary
The Associate Director, North America Professional Education – Myopia is a strategic individual contributor responsible for designing and executing targeted and differentiated training programs for Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) in the U.S. and Canada. This role is focused on myopia awareness, education, and advocacy, aligning with Johnson & Johnson’s broader business strategy in the Vision segment.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
🧠 Strategy & Program Development
Lead and execute the North America professional education strategy for myopia.
Design and deliver educational content and tools that support category growth and ECP learning journeys.
Integrate myopia programs into larger professional development tracks and national business strategies.
👥 KOL & Stakeholder Engagement
Manage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the myopia space across North America.
Oversee contracting, recruitment, and training of KOLs to ensure successful program delivery.
Maintain strong relationships with strategic partners and healthcare professionals.
📚 Content Management & Delivery
Curate and implement myopia and children’s vision content for ECPs.
Deliver content across live, digital, and hybrid platforms to ensure clinical impact and advocacy.
Ensure content is scientifically accurate, compliant with company policies, and aligned with HCC (Health Care Compliance) and regulatory requirements.
🤝 Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Regulatory, Legal) to align educational goals with business priorities.
Leverage universal educational assets to maximize reach and regional impact.
🏛️ Governance & Compliance
Develop and enforce procedures that support compliance with all legal, regulatory, and corporate policies.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
📌 Essential Qualifications
🎓 Education
Doctor of Optometry (OD) or equivalent required
Doctorate degree preferred
✅ Required Experience & Skills
5+ years in either clinical optometry or professional medical education
Clinical expertise in myopia management
Strong public speaking and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute educational strategies
🌟 Preferred Experience
Strong business and financial acumen
People management experience
✈️ Travel Requirements
Up to 40% domestic overnight travel required
