Position Summary:

As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Hematologic Malignancies and Theragnostic/Radioligand Therapies, you will serve as a scientific expert supporting community and academic health professionals. The MSL builds strong, trusted relationships with Scientific Experts (SEs) to provide relevant, accurate, and timely medical information, while offering clinical insights that influence Lilly’s strategy in oncology.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Stakeholder Engagement (70–80%)

  • Engage SEs, investigators, and educators across assigned Midwest geography.

  • Serve as a trusted scientific advisor to HCPs by providing in-depth disease state and product information.

  • Facilitate connections between SEs and internal Lilly experts (e.g., Clinical Research Physicians, Outcomes Research, Discovery Scientists).

2. Scientific Knowledge & Exchange

  • Maintain advanced scientific and clinical knowledge of hematologic malignancies and radioligand/theranostic therapies.

  • Attend scientific congresses and conduct ongoing literature reviews.

  • Respond to medical inquiries with appropriate scientific resources (e.g., publications, medical letters, citations).

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Share field insights with internal stakeholders to inform medical affairs, brand teams, and clinical development.

  • Collaborate with internal business partners to support clinical trials and research opportunities.

4. Administrative & Compliance Activities

  • Utilize tools like VEEVA, PubMed, and Microsoft Office for documentation and resource sharing.

  • Adhere to Lilly’s compliance and documentation standards.

  • Submit expense reports and maintain accurate field activity records.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree: PharmD, MD, or PhD in a medically relevant field with 2–3 years of clinical or scientific experience.

  • Candidates with RN, RPh, PA, NP, or similar degrees will be considered with 5+ years of oncology experience.

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience in oncology and/or hematologic malignancies (hospital/outpatient settings).

  • Familiarity with theranostic or radioligand therapies is a strong plus.

  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.

  • High emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate demanding customer interactions.

  • Field-based or territory management experience.

  • Proficiency in literature evaluation and presentation software tools.


Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 60% overnight travel is expected.

  • Participation in 4–6 weekend events per year.

  • Must reside near a major airport within the Midwest geography.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $145,500 – $213,400
