Novartis is hiring an experienced Associate Director – Gen AI Business Analyst (Life Sciences) to lead enterprise-wide Generative AI initiatives across the pharmaceutical value chain—from drug discovery to commercialization. The role requires deep expertise in life sciences and Generative AI technologies, aligning advanced AI-driven solutions with critical business needs to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a strategic AI leader in life sciences, driving AI applications in drug discovery, clinical trials, regulatory affairs, and pharmacovigilance.
Lead enterprise-level business analysis for AI adoption, aligning solutions with long-term organizational goals.
Author and approve business cases, feasibility studies, and ROI analyses for AI transformation projects.
Engage directly with C-suite, technical teams, and industry forums to promote AI-driven innovation.
Manage and mentor a team of Senior Business Analysts on advanced AI-driven analysis and solution development.
Oversee the development and deployment of scalable, reliable Generative AI solutions for life sciences.
Establish regulatory and ethical governance frameworks ensuring compliance with USFDA, EU, and PMDA guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Master’s in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Computer Science, Data Science; PhD or MBA preferred.
10–12 years in life sciences consulting/business analysis; 5+ years in AI technology leadership.
Strong expertise in Generative AI, machine learning, Python, TensorFlow, Power BI.
Proven project management skills (Agile, SAFe, PMI methodologies).
Ability to influence C-level stakeholders and manage cross-functional teams.
Deep knowledge of pharma regulatory standards and global compliance guidelines.
