Role Summary

The Associate Director of Data Engineering is a senior leadership role responsible for designing, building, and scaling enterprise-grade data platforms that support:

  • Analytics & Reporting

  • Business Intelligence (BI)

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)

  • Machine Learning (ML)

  • Operational Data Products

The position combines technical leadership, architecture ownership, people management, and strategic planning to ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and compliant data solutions.


Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering Leadership

Data Platform Development

  • Lead design and implementation of cloud-based data platforms.

  • Build and maintain:

    • Data Lakes

    • Data Warehouses

    • Streaming Data Platforms

  • Drive enterprise-scale data architecture initiatives.

Data Pipeline Management

  • Own end-to-end data pipelines.

  • Design and optimize:

    • Batch Processing Pipelines

    • Streaming Pipelines

    • Data Transformation Workflows

  • Ensure data reliability and scalability.

Architecture & Strategy

  • Define enterprise data architecture standards.

  • Develop reference architectures and platform roadmaps.

  • Contribute to long-term data strategy.

Operational Excellence

Establish standards for:

  • Performance

  • Reliability

  • Security

  • Testing

  • Monitoring

  • Cost Optimization

Analytics Enablement

Support:

  • Business Intelligence Teams

  • Analytics Teams

  • Data Science Teams
