Position Summary

The Associate Quality Scientist will perform analytical and microbiological testing (including stability and release testing of drug substances/products) to support GMP manufacturing. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, contributes to continuous improvement, and may participate in audits.

Key Responsibilities

Perform timely analytical and microbiological (endotoxin) testing for in-process, release, and stability samples.

Review microbiology data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GMP/GDP.

Accurately document all testing activities in accordance with data integrity and ALCOA principles.

Conduct troubleshooting and propose solutions to resolve testing or equipment issues.

Support laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, inventory, and waste handling.

Communicate progress, escalate deviations, and meet departmental deadlines.

Actively participate in customer and regulatory audits.

Physical Requirements

May require use of PPE such as respirators or protective clothing for extended periods.

Occasional lifting/pushing up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications
Minimum:

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other Life Sciences + 1+ year lab testing experience
OR

Associate’s Degree in related discipline + 3+ years analytical testing experience in a GMP lab.

Preferred:

Experience with antibody drug conjugates (ADC).

Instrument expertise: HPLC, GC, LCMS, UV, Solo VPE, CGE, iCE.

Knowledge of Trackwise, Chromeleon, LIMS, SAP.

Strong troubleshooting ability for lab instrumentation.

Familiarity with safe chemical handling practices.

Strong oral and written communication skills; able to perform independently and in teams.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $23.00 – $42.00 per hour (based on experience, education, and skills).
