Role Overview

As an Infection Prevention Sales Representative (Peri-op), you will drive sales growth, manage customer relationships, and provide clinical solutions within the Lexington, KY territory. You will be responsible for territory management, business development, and customer education, working closely with hospitals, surgical centers, and key decision-makers to promote infection prevention products.

This role requires strong sales acumen, the ability to navigate complex selling cycles, and experience in medical device or operating room sales.


Key Responsibilities

Territory & Account Management: Achieve sales quotas and growth targets through strategic planning and execution.
Customer Engagement: Identify and address customer needs, financial priorities, and clinical constraints.
Strategic Selling: Influence key hospital stakeholders, surgeons, and clinical teams to adopt Solventum’s solutions.
Data-Driven Sales: Utilize analytics and industry insights to inform sales strategy.
Product Education & Training: Provide ongoing in-service training, technical support, and troubleshooting.
Industry Engagement: Leverage publications, industry guidelines, and professional networks (AORN, APIC, etc.) to drive product adoption.
Channel Collaboration: Work with distribution partners to align on strategies and business goals.
Contract Compliance: Manage contract negotiations, compliance, and standardization opportunities.
Travel: Up to 50% overnight travel may be required.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree + 2 years of sales/clinical experience
OR
High School Diploma/GED + 6 years of sales/clinical experience
Valid Driver’s License (Company vehicle provided)
Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:
➕ Sales experience in operating room (OR) / perioperative settings
➕ Strong customer relationship management and closing skills
CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
➕ Familiarity with clinical value drivers in surgical and healthcare settings
➕ Completion of a formal sales training program
➕ Experience with new product introductions and value analysis processes
