Overview

Sanofi is seeking an experienced Senior Scientific Writer – Health Economics and Value Assessment (HEVA) to support global evidence communication strategies across multiple therapeutic areas. This role is based within the Sanofi Global Hub (SGH) India, a centralized capability center supporting global functions in Medical, HEVA, Scientific Communications, Vaccines, General Medicines, CHC, and R&D.

About the Team

The Sanofi Global Hub (SGH) functions as a strategic enabler for global HEVA, medical, real-world evidence, and commercial teams. SGH supports publication development, value communication, evidence synthesis, and scientific messaging for Sanofi’s global portfolio.


Key Responsibilities

Scientific Writing & HEVA Communications

  • Develop high-quality HEVA communication deliverables including manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slide decks, and value-focused scientific content.

  • Ensure alignment with HEVA strategy, Core Value Dossiers, AMCP Dossiers, and global communication plans.

  • Maintain and update Core Value Decks summarizing critical health economic and value evidence for key products.

  • Ensure adherence to publication SOPs, compliance standards, and scientific accuracy.

Strategic Content Development

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen the impact of HEVA evidence through innovative communication approaches.

  • Support publication planning activities, including needs assessments and content strategy development.

  • Collaborate with HEVA and RWE teams to develop high-impact, payer-relevant, and evidence-based communication tools.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with global and local HEVA teams, RWE teams, and scientific communication stakeholders to understand deliverable requirements.

  • Liaise with healthcare professionals, investigators, and academic experts for content refinement and publication alignment.

  • Coordinate with external vendors for content creation and ensure output meets scientific and quality standards.

Coaching & Mentorship

  • Guide and coach junior HEVA writers; review their outputs and support capability-building across the team.

  • Share best practices, scientific writing standards, and value communication principles.

Process Management

  • Manage end-to-end publication development through systems such as iEnvision (formerly Datavision/Matrix).

  • Produce complex publication materials and execute annual publication plans for assigned regions.

  • Incorporate end-user feedback to continuously refine content quality and communication effectiveness.


Experience Required

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in scientific writing, HEVA communication, health economics communication, or evidence publication within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or academic sector.

  • Proven experience developing manuscripts, HEOR/HEVA materials, posters, abstract submissions, and scientific communication assets.


Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Economics, or a related scientific discipline.

  • Medical degree is an added advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of health economics and outcomes research concepts.

  • Knowledge of Good Publication Practice (GPP) guidelines and publication ethics.

  • Experience with publication planning systems such as iEnvision.

  • Familiarity with HEVA/HEOR evidence frameworks, value dossiers, and payer communication standards.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent scientific communication and writing skills.

  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate in global matrix environments.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple timelines.

  • Effective mentoring and content review capabilities.

Language Skills

  • Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken).
