About the Role
ICON plc, a global leader in healthcare intelligence and clinical research, is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the execution, delivery, and optimization of a portfolio of digital products. This role requires strong product ownership, operational excellence, and the ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams within a regulated industry environment.
The Senior Product Manager will play a pivotal role in aligning business requirements with technology capabilities, ensuring successful product launches, and driving continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead full end-to-end product delivery from requirement gathering and prioritization to launch and post-release enhancement.
Collaborate with engineering, business, quality, compliance, and operations teams to ensure timely, quality-driven product delivery.
Translate business goals into structured product requirements, KPIs, and success metrics.
Ensure adherence to product roadmaps through disciplined execution, clear communication, and proactive risk mitigation.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives using feedback loops, retrospectives, and optimization strategies.
Support development of business cases, portfolio planning, and resource allocation.
Promote cross-functional collaboration and accountability, strengthening shared ownership across teams.
Mentor and develop junior product managers and business analysts to elevate product excellence and stakeholder engagement.
Utilize data, automation tools, and emerging technologies—including AI—to enhance product performance and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including 8–10 years in Product Management, with proven ownership of enterprise-grade product delivery.
Strong experience in product lifecycle management, agile methodologies, and delivery governance.
Background in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or CRO environments preferred; familiarity with pharmacovigilance or safety systems is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with distributed global teams and manage complex dependencies.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities focused on operational excellence and measurable outcomes.
Technical and functional fluency, enabling effective collaboration with engineering, data, and business leadership.
