    NIPER Ahmedabad

    NIPER Ahmedabad was initiated with three specializations Biotechnology, Natural Products and Pharmaceutics and over the period of time three more specialisations Pharmaceutical Analysis, Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology and Toxicology were added in 2010. Subsequently in 2011, to cater the needs of Medical device industry in India, another feather was added to the cap of NIPER Ahmedabad in the form of specialisation in Medical Devices.

    The wave of globalization has propelled the expansion of Indian pharma sector. India is amongst the top 10 countries of the world, in terms of volume and value of Pharmaceutical products. Enthusiastic and entrepreneurial efforts have turned Gujarat into the hub of Pharma industry . NIPER  aspires to be an internationally recognized premier centre of excellence in teaching, research and entrepreneurial training. The interdisciplinary courses and cultural diversity at NIPER Ahmedabad sparks the spirit of innovative research and all-round development of its students. The location of the institute ensures a symbiotic association with Pharmaceutical industries, Medical centres and technological universities .

    • The Institute started in 2007, offering M.S. (Pharm.) in three specializations i.e Biotechnology, Natural Products and Pharmaceutics.
    • Three more specializations i.e Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Pharmacology and Toxicology were introduced from the academic year 2010.
    • Opening of Medical Devices stream in 2012 was a feather on its cap.    
    • Today NIPER Ahmedabd is offering M.S (Pharm) in seven specializations.

    Academic eligibility: Aspirants must possess a qualifying degree with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.75 CGPA. Relaxation for reserved category: For SC/ST category candidates minimum passing marks required to apply for NIPER JEE 2022 are 55% or 6.25 CGPA.
