Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) is a private deemed university located in Visakhapatnam , Andhra Pradesh . Founded by the late Dr M.V.V.S. Murthi in 1980 in Visakhapatnam, it also has campus in Hyderabad and Bengaluru . It was previously affiliated with Andhra University under the name GITAM College, then gained autonomy status in the year 2007 GITAM is the first private engineering institute in the state to receive the University status.
The campus in Visakhapatnam is the oldest of the bunch. It spreads across a little over 100 acres.Collectively, the three campuses have 19 institutions under their wing Over the years, GITAM has taken part in many social activities and has also produced many renowned personalities.
The Pharmacy programmes at GITAM are dedicated to providing value based education with unwavering commitment to generate competent pharmaceutical technocrats of high probity and honor, to instill ethical values and a lifelong commitment of service for the general well being of humanity.

GITAM Institute of Technology and Management is ranked 67th among universities in India by the (NIRF) in 2021 and in the 101–150 band in the overall category. In 2019, The Week & Hansa Research’s best B-School survey ranked GITAM’s Hyderabad Business School as 5th[10] in top B-schools in Hyderabad and 20th in the Southern zone.

The highest package was of 4LPA and the lowest was of 1.5LPA. We had TCS, 3i infotech, cavisson and many more in the college. About 20% of the students got internships in different startups and government skill set organizations. They were offering roles for associate software developer, BDE, Digital Marketing and others too.
Around 87% of the students got placements from our college in the previous year. The highest salary package offered is 6.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Tata Motors and Mahindra are among the top recruiters of our college, and our college provides ample amount of internship opportunities to the students. Our college operates a few internship programs itself in partnership with companies like Tata Motors, etc.
