Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Pharmacy at Kolhapur was incepted in 1996 under the most potential leadership and vision of Honorable Dr. Patangrao Kadam, Founder of Bharati Vidyapeeth and also Founder and Chancellor of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University,Pune. He foresighted the need for a good pharmacy institution in Kolhapur to cater the needs of the people in this district area and the adjoining Konkan belt.
The spacious college building, the laboratories,rich and resourceful library and all the amenities took shape under the able and dynamic guidance of Dr. Shivajirao Kadam, Vice chancellor, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune and who pioneered and lead the foundation of pharmacy education in the University of Pune by setting up Poona College of Pharmacy Pune. As quoted by some eminent personalities in the Pharma-profession the pharmacy college building is in the reckoning as one of the best planned pharmacy college buildings in Asia. With persistent guidance from Honorable Vishwajeet Kadam, Secreatry, Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune, college has developed into one of the best pharmacy institutes in the state.

There are after 8th semester students are eligible for placement and college give all the facility for placement CIPLA, WOCHARD,LUPIN, GIBBS and several companies also are coming but insufficient shits are available 30%students are placement and the insufficient package My plan after degree 9s research field and higher education.
The job opportunities are fairly good depending upon the skillsets you acquire. When I completed the course, as the college was very new, there was no trend of campus interview and unfortunately there was no placement cell to assist students in getting jobs. However, the same initiative has been started recently and I have seen several Pharmaceutical companies visit for campus interview especially in field of production or sales & marketing. The companies like Cipla, Ranbaxy, Sun Pharma have been frequently arranging campus interviews
